Why We Did It
When young people stand side by side with purpose — when they are given trust, agency and the right ecosystem — they don’t just solve problems. They redefine what’s possible.
At the core of the G20 Hackathon was this belief: to unlock human potential by giving generation-leaders a platform to act now. Under the direction of GameChangers and the Future Leaders Challenge, we chose not merely to host a competition but to create a movement.
How We Showed Up
We helped innovators, creators and dreamers from Africa and beyond, not just as participants, but as co-architects of a new future.
In immersive sprints of design thinking.
In mentor-led sessions where experience met fresh perspective.
In the very places where challenge and potential live side by side.
We didn’t start with technology for technology’s sake. We began with people and purpose. Because when purpose leads, innovation follows.
What Was Created
Teams built solutions grounded in lived reality — ideas born not in distant labs but in local communities: resilient climate systems, digital-inclusion platforms, youth employment initiatives.
They didn’t just prototype — they built belief. They didn’t just form teams — they became tribes.
What It Means
When GameChangers and the Future Leaders Challenge invited this community to step up, something profound happened:
